		<description>How true! The line about &#039;1000 people voting as a bloc&#039; really struck me. The number of registered voters who actually make it to the polls is pathetically small. 
I think the problem lies with the fact most people who participate in a special interest (such as scuba diving) tend to be pretty independent. Getting these folks to gather in one place is like herding cats. I&#039;m sure there is a business model for the &#039;long tail&#039; graph. Starbuck&#039;s comes to mind.</description>
